💾 Data Storage

All your data is stored locally in your browser using Chrome's Storage API:

• Quick links you add
• Background preferences
• Notes you type
• Settings you configure

This data:

• ✅ Stays on your device
• ✅ Syncs via Chrome Sync (if enabled by you)
• ✅ Can be deleted anytime (Reset button in settings)

🔑 Permissions

We request these permissions:

• storage: Save your settings and notes locally
• bookmarks: (Optional) Access bookmarks for future features
• topSites: (Optional) Show frequently visited sites

We do NOT:

• Access your passwords
• Read your emails
• Track your location (weather uses IP-based geolocation API)
• Monitor your activity

🌐 Third-Party Services

The extension uses these external services:

• Google Favicon API: Fetch website icons
• Unsplash: Wallpaper images
• Open-Meteo: Weather data (free, no account needed)
• ipapi.co: IP-based geolocation for weather

These services may have their own privacy policies. We do not control or have access to any data they may collect.

🔄 Chrome Sync

If you have Chrome Sync enabled, your extension settings may sync across your devices. This is handled entirely by Google Chrome and we have no access to this data.

👶 Children's Privacy

This extension does not knowingly collect information from children under 13. The extension is suitable for all ages.
